poetry

poetry is beautiful, isn't it? it expresses the things that you want to say but can't. it gives you an outlet, a pretty, magical, glittery outlet. i'm big into poetry lately.
today, actually, mostly.
anyway, the point is not that.
the point is that i wrote this poem two years ago during the coldest part of my life. things weren't making a lot of sense that day, and i was feeling pretty numb. instead of writing an essay about my feelings, i delved into my skillz from grade eight english and came up with a single verse that pretty much summed everything up. and even though it didn't make me feel better, it made me feel heard. and maybe, just maybe,  that is better.
i'm back there again today, and decided to dig this up and share it again.
i call it, "i'm really cold."

それが私の思考の外のこの冷たい凍るすべての開始時。
そしてバックアップを再度始めるとき、日本語のすべてある*

*translation: when it is this cold outside my thoughts all start to freeze,
and when they start back up again, they’re all in Japanese.

i thought, in light of the fact that this weekend's forecast is -30, this poem was fitting.
i love winter. i love it.

I relate. Like when people WANT to go freeze their butts off outside doing silly snow sports, and they start talking and raving about it, and all I hear is a language I can't understand. :P

Isn't -30 a synonym for move?
