pure epic-ness. i am the same way. last night, i forgot to dead bolt the door. i didn't even realize it until THIS MORNING. that is insane because i always check my door like 5 times before i go to bed. i live alone. psycho killers could totally get me. i'm not strong. i'm weak. i feel as though i would die of terror before they could actually kill me anyway. so, in the end they would still lose. yikes. how morbid.
Oh, and since you mentioned Barclay coming to the rescue: I noticed that my spiders are creeping back. And well, you bombed your bugs about the same time I bombed my bugs...So you might want to keep your peepers open for sow bugs and what-not.
We usually don't lock the door (out of lazyness) but what's even worse: my everforgetful man left the keys on the OUTSIDE of the door twice (TWICE) already. And I only noticed the next day when leaving for work So anyone could've just stepped in. Or locked us up in our own house.
Nothing happened though. I guess that's an advantage of living in a street of which everyone knows there's nothing to get :)
For a minute there I thought I wrote this paper rant. Hahahaha. Sounds like something I go through on a day to day basis because of my neighbor. This post definitely goes well with my post. hehehehe....
Omg this is so fun! I love it! I often go through similar stories in my head. And... oMG... I love Family Matters. I used to watch it after school every day. Urkel!!
this free bird: i DID read that story--SO SCARY. i told it to my husband and said, "SEE. things like this HAPPEN!" :) linz, biscuit, holly, mel, sam: thanks for following! you're so nice. meg: oh family matters. so best. michelle: you can call me dude. :) all of you all else: thanks and cheers and have a good day!
So I'm late in my commenting, but that's ok. :) I just wanted to tell you how much I adore your picture of the psycho killer karate kicking the door in. Nice. That made my night... er, early morning! :D

Loved this paper rant, as usual.
Especially the fact that, you're right.
They don't care if the door is locked or not.
They will kill.
xoxox
Second to last pic = HAHA
oh my, this cracked me up because I definitely have those thoughts too! :) I think mine come from watching too many episodes of Criminal Minds.

i barely escaped with my life...out the side door that is in my bedroom - while they walked around in the other part of the house.
just sayin'
and no, girlfriend, they did not use the door.
they laundryroom window suited them just fine.

go figure (she says dripping with sarcasm)
That's great! Most men leave a baseball bat by the door in case the psycho killer gets in, my husband leaves a giant pastry roller. Gotta love it. XO!

Very much relate... and will try to comfort myself with this next time I get the urge check the door late late at night! :)
