Loved this paper rant, as usual.
Especially the fact that, you're right.
They don't care if the door is locked or not.
They will kill.

oh my, this cracked me up because I definitely have those thoughts too! :) I think mine come from watching too many episodes of Criminal Minds.

pure epic-ness. i am the same way. last night, i forgot to dead bolt the door. i didn't even realize it until THIS MORNING. that is insane because i always check my door like 5 times before i go to bed. i live alone. psycho killers could totally get me. i'm not strong. i'm weak. i feel as though i would die of terror before they could actually kill me anyway. so, in the end they would still lose. yikes. how morbid.

Sweet psycho karate kick...

Oh, and since you mentioned Barclay coming to the rescue: I noticed that my spiders are creeping back. And well, you bombed your bugs about the same time I bombed my bugs...So you might want to keep your peepers open for sow bugs and what-not.

"lack of respect for my living-ness"... HA! :) Thanks for the chuckle. (Lord knows I needed it today!)

http://thisfreebird.blogspot.com/2010/07/sleepin-cool-in-heat.html

i barely escaped with my life...out the side door that is in my bedroom - while they walked around in the other part of the house.

just sayin'

and no, girlfriend, they did not use the door.

they laundryroom window suited them just fine.

carrie

That's great! Most men leave a baseball bat by the door in case the psycho killer gets in, my husband leaves a giant pastry roller. Gotta love it. XO!

Very much relate... and will try to comfort myself with this next time I get the urge check the door late late at night! :)

We usually don't lock the door (out of lazyness) but what's even worse: my everforgetful man left the keys on the OUTSIDE of the door twice (TWICE) already.
And I only noticed the next day when leaving for work
So anyone could've just stepped in.
Or locked us up in our own house.

Nothing happened though.
I guess that's an advantage of living in a street of which everyone knows there's nothing to get :)

So sleep thight, they're not even interested :)

duuuude. You are awesome. And I should probably stop calling people dude. That stopped being cool in like the 90s.

But, hey, thanks for making my day a little brighter!
