for my sad friends

before you read this post, you have to follow the rules.
right click HERE, click Open in New Tab.
right click HERE, click Open in New Tab.
go to each tab and make sure they're doing what they're supposed to be doing at the same time.
it's called atmosphere. it might be also called cheesy, but if you're by yourself it's ok to be cheesy sometimes. i've decided that.
[thanks elyse for the rain]
ok, you may advance to the next part of the post.

i have some sad friends.

if you think this might be you i'm thinkin about, then it is more than likely that it is you i'm thinkin about.

i read a post you wrote recently about how long your winter is, i remembered about your long wait last week to come home, i was thinking about the journey you've been on this past year, a conversation we had in a coffee shop the other day, the thing that you want that you can't have, the disappointment about how things have been going, the worry about the future, the loneliness, how tired you are of where you are, how you don't know how to get to where you want to be, that really unfortunate thing that happened, how simply straight up stressed out you are.

i'm being vague, but that's on purpose.

i would like to gather you all up in a big sad group and empty a dump truck full of all the things that would make you happy again right down on your very deserving heads. gently, though, so as not to crush you.

but if life were like that, if i had a magic dump truck, you wouldn't need God. and you probably wouldn't know how much other people care about you either.

anyways.

things will get better. for now, you can do like i do when i'm sad: i get really dramatic about it and lay down on the floor in the middle of the room so i can see the whole ceiling and i listen to mellow music and i pretend i'm in a movie, at the part right before everything gets resolved. that's what the aforementioned links are for, if you want to give it a shot.
if you'd rather talk, i'm good for that too.

[doesn't the rain make it kind of sound like spring, jen?]

This is BY FAR the coolest post anyone has posted ever.
Ever.
And I needed it more than anything today. Of all days.

I read/listened to this at work with a big, stupid grin on my face...people were staring, but I didn't care. What a perfect post for a stressful day! Thanks :)

This was pure genius and I might have listened to the song and rain more than once and it made me crave real rain and then God made it rain last night and it put me to sleep and I woke up this morning feeling very thankful. You are a kind and genuine soul and I like you and your blog. :)
