Stupid texting! I promise i will never do that if we ever have coffee together. (and the fact that i don't have a phone-texty-thing and have no clue even HOW to 'text' has utterly nothing to do with it) it's just common courtesy.
Phew! I was fearful I was the friend, but then when I got to the end, realized I couldn't be b/c I don't text! (Very rarely anyway and never in public...then people would know how bad I am at it) But we do have to do coffee. I feel bad I haven't set a date yet. Tuesdays and some Fridays and Saturdays are good for me. What's your future look like?
First off, I think it'd be sooo sweet to be your texting buddy! But, I'm not sure if there would be some kind of extra charge for texting between the US and Canada...hmm...I shall look into it.
Second! If I were to make a paper rant...I would write about THE STINKY PEOPLE THAT WALK AROUND DOWNTOWN AND AROUND CAMPUS WHO SMOKE THE STINKY CIGARS AND CIGARETTES AND DON'T EVEN CARE THAT THEY'RE WALKING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU AND BLOW SMOKE SO IT HITS YOU RIGHT IN THE FACE! POOF AND EWWWWW..
I can't stand when people text while I am talking to them or trying to spend time with them. I really hate it when I get home and find out they were updating their Facebook status the entire time. ugh...
If we ever hung out I would keep my phone in my purse. But I would knit while we talked.............. But I can look at you while I knit! I was knitting during Jackass 3 the other day.
chantelle: haha, well THANKS! :D texting is handy, it's just knowing when and where to use it...
nell: inDEED.
jen g-son: i can absolutely picture you doing that. :)
connally: while blowing out his birthday candles? INTERVENTION!!
kelsey: i'm sure there's at LEAST one in every friend group, if not more. i think i used to be that friend, i'm working really hard not to be now that i know how much it bugs me.
sarahann: deal. and i shall do the same. :)
jen wilson: dude. indubitably.
biscuit! yes! i just hate talking on the phone to begin with though. oh phones. what the heck.
chess: preach it.
crystal: yis. ignored crap.
mara: PREACH IT.
jen glen: of course it wasn't you. i didn't really have anyone in specific in mind when i wrote this. maybe it was even about myself. hm. possible.
steven: yis. i designed it for her. for free.
jennifer louise: on a DATE! have you had that happen? that would absolutely be worse.
kiersten: heehee, don't worry, i wasn't writing this with you in mind. :)
amber rose: haha, thanks. :)
jessica lynn: can you pleeeeease do a paper rant? i would love to read someone else's paper rant. do it.
the lilac rabbit: yes, that absolutely is very lame. facebook is taking over the world. boo.
shari: seriously, what better way to spread important info than by flip book? flip books rock.
holly: oh, you could totally knit. you could teach me to knit. that would definitely be ok.
i was JUST expressing my frustrations about this very thing the other day. i'm not a perfect person, by any means, but when i have a conversation with someone, i will always try my hardest and bestest to focus on them and them only. always always. and i like to listen to people and the stories they tell.
but sometimes, i feel like friends don't do the same for me. when it's my turn to talk, they will immediately pick up their phone and text away like i'm not even speaking. and it's really annoying. and rude. and one of my biggest pet peeves ever. and it makes me want to smash cellphones. or throw them. UGH.

I'm kind of sad now.
Glad that didn't really happen!
I would feel like that too though.

I hate it when people think it's ok to text when you're talking to them. Just plain rude. xx
I always make a show of whipping out my phone too and say "well I was feeling left out, so I may as well get my phone out too!"
my brother texts constantly. even when eating. or blowing out his birthday candles. sad really.
i hide his phone when he comes home for the holidays. ♥
I have a friend who is ALWAYS like that
Nothing irritates me more. If you and I went to coffee, I would just turn my phone off entirely!
Georgiana's friend has a nice scarf.

agreed!!! i agree 100%...just makes you feel like crap!
It's just bad form. Sheesh people. Common decency!
i HATE that, or especially when people get easily distracted doing other things while you're talking on the phone. biggest pet peeve EVER.
Dude. ME TOO. Ugh.
Awww.
This is so sweet, and sad. I also know exactly how you feel.
It's even worse if you are on a date, and they are doing that.
I am truly sorry if I have ever texted while we were together ...
I live for your paper rants.
Stupid texters. ;)

I need to make this into a little flip book and give it to a few people! ;)
